Found a dog or need to find a home for your pet?
Canine Crusaders can help!
Although we will not take your found dog or owner turn-in (we are overflowing with our own!), we will help you find a home for your dog through our outreach program. Our outreach program was created to help individuals living in the South Bay Community find loving homes for dogs they may have rescued or that they themselves may have as a family member but for some circumstance or another they can no longer keep. Here is how it works:
Here is what you must do to show your dog at our adoptions…
1. Foster or find a foster for the animal until it gets adopted. We DO NOT take dogs in as we are completely full.
Please note, if the dog is returned for any reason you are responsible for fostering it once again.
2. Spay or neuter the animal. Canine Crusaders will adopt out an animal that is not spayed or neutered.
3. The dog must be up to date on all vaccinations and you must provide Canine Crusaders with a copy of these records when you sign up for the program.
4. Fill out an outreach questionnaire form, so we can learn about you and the dog you are fostering. (This helps us find a good match with a family!)
5. Transport your dog to and from adoptions on Saturday. We do not transport Outreach dogs as we are too busy transporting our dogs!
6. Every Sat you want to participate in our adoptions you will need to call Robert at 310-376-6535 or e-mail Jeanine at caninecrusaders@yahoo.com to reserve a spot for your dog.
Please note that if you do not make a reservation and you show up at adoptions, we will not be able to show your animal as we carefully plan the number of animals we show with the number of crates and volunteers we have!
Adoptions are held at Pet Mart in Hermosa Beach:

(On aviation blvd between Prospect and PCH) NOTE: On the second weekend of every month we do not hold adoptions on Saturday. Instead we participate in the Redondo Beach Dog Fair on Sunday from 11-3pm.
7. A $40 refundable deposit will be required the first time you drop your dog off at adoptions. This is to ensure that you will indeed come back for your dog at the end of the day. This fee will be refunded to you once the dog is adopted unless you wish to donate it to Canine Crusaders to help us with our cause!
Here is what we will do for you…
1. Show your dog at adoptions every Sat you sign up for. You are not required to stay just to drop the dog off and pick it up again.
2. Screen all applicants just like we do with our own dogs. This includes a home check, which you may be a part of if you like.
3. Post your dog on our website and any affiliate websites we use.
Note: An adoption fee of $100 will be charged to the adopting parents for all outreach dogs. This is the same fee that we charge for our kennel dogs and this is NON NEGOITABLE! This fee is crucial to the continuation of Canine Crusaders and it allows us to continue to care for the many animals in our care.
