Benny-Bear is gentle-natured, sweet, and loves to go for walks and car rides. He's 'typically Akita' in that he can be a little aloof at times, but then will suddenly shower you with kisses and/or a gentle kiss-nip! He's a quiet dog. When we rescued him from Harbor Shelter, we thought we'd never seen a sadder doggie; but in the last couple of days, he's been happy and funny and has truly been responding to the love and attention we have given him! He needs to be in a situation where he's not left outside all the time, as his former owners did. He's had some training and responds to some basic commands, such as "sit", "wait", etc. He's a beautiful boy, and has the most soulful Akita eyes.
